What does your easy button look Like ?

Updated: Mar 28

Well, you are all thinking, “What the heck? There is no Easy Button!!!!!!” Well, you are dead on, but what are you doing to achieve that Easy Button? Based on my manufacturing experience and all I have learned over the years – gray specks of hair included – my Easy Button is Radan. Radan – provided by Vero Software, the world’s #1 manufacturing solutions provider – is a third-party CADCAM/Nesting system designed specifically for sheet metal manufacturing.

Now I’ve programmed and ran many different types of machinery (lasers, turrets, plasmas, press brakes) and learned a few things along the way. The most frustrating thing for me? Running three different machine tools with three different software packages. Then in 1999, our company purchased a new laser and Radan (my Easy Button). Now I had once a single sources software supplier. No more sending three guys to three separate training classes. Then one leaves and the process starts over again. No more, “Who can use this software? Or that software? Wait, we can’t run the machine until John Doe gets back from vacation?!”........ FRUSTRATING!

With Radan I can now Streamline the Process One software to program many different machines Laser or Punch, Flame cutting Plasma, or even Making Bevel Cuts on my Plasma, When I was Introduced to Radbend my first thought? OMG where have you Been? After being a Manager in a Shop and looking after Production and overseeing 8 Press brakes and seeing setup times. I LOVE Radbend set-up Times are brought to an Awesome time where you have 1-hour setups on complicated bends being done in a matter of minutes. Cause Radbend allows features like the ones listed below.

Radbend is the market-leading solution in offline programming for press brakes. Completely integrated with Radan3D along with SolidWorks & Autodesk Inventor providing a full 3D simulation of the bending process. Utilizing either 2D or 3D geometry, Radbend automates the sequence of operations typically done manually at sheet metal manufacturing facilities. Radbend is the answer to typical issues that manufacturers have in their bending applications like full collision checking which ensures costly errors are eliminated prior to production, thus providing a “right-first-time” manufacturing approach.

Radbend supports all of the major press brakes manufacturers such as Accurpress, Adira, Amada, Baykal, Byeler, Bystronic, Cincinnati, Durma, Edwards Pearson, Finn-Power, LVD, Pullmax, Safan, Trumpf, Yawei, and many more besides.

Radbend from Radan is the comprehensive offline programming solution for press brakes. Completely integrated with Radan3D it also provides a full 3D simulation of the bending process.

Features at a glance:

  • Automatic bend sequencing

  • Automated tool selection

  • Tool setup optimization

  • Automatic finger stop positioning

  • Customizable reports

  • Support for lifting aids and angle measurement systems

  • Can be integrated with Radan3D
